The Portage County Literacy Council (PCLC) is located in Stevens Point. We provide small classes and one-on-one tutors at convenient locations and online. All services are free of charge.
Our mission is to help adults that live and/or work in Portage County develop the basic skills necessary to achieve economic self-sufficiency and community integration. Our areas of focus are English, English Language Learning for non-native speakers (ELL), Adult Basic Education (ABE), and Citizenship.
Our vision is that all adults have access to literacy services at their level. Our learning opportunities are focused on the learners' goals and advance mutual respect, trust, dignity, and fairness in our community.
